more flower power
yesterday i did a photo of my flower that i did. well, with the help of arden, the store intern, i was able to crank out another flower faster, she's a good cutter! after the addition of another flower and a simple little butterfly....well, GORGEOUS!!!

Here's a photo of a paper poppy I made for store display. It turned out pretty good on my first try. I've made paper flowers before but never using instructions and a template. It was VERY time consuming but all in all...pretty damn good!!!

went to my closet and found...
I got this a while back and today fell in love with it all over again! It is such an awesome size for me. It isn't too big, cause lord knows, i loves my bags BIG! I just ordered one VERY similar to this in YELLOW....I can't wait to show you. The inside of this hot pink bag is also polka-dotted...WTF?!?!? The name of this bag is Samsonite Fashionaire...how apropos!

another commercial...you're gonna LOVE this!
okay, when i was a young child, I LOVED WONDER WOMAN! i loved her so much that my parents bought me a doll....wow! that's crazy! somehow my doll got messed up and the only thing i had left was her hand. It always had a home in this small spice rack we owned that had two drawers below. it was an inside family joke for some time. "where's my wonder woman hand?" enjoy this commercial of the wonder woman doll!

my girl, fantasia!
i've said it before and i'll say it again! this girl can make you FEEL every note and every word and every emotion. take a look at this AMAZING performance of ms. barrino singin' her ass off on the oprah winfrey show before her run on broadway in the musical, "the color purple." the song is called "i'm here" and just captures the pain and joy her character felt. enjoy!

last night at girl's night...
last night was girl's night for me and 3 other girls (i'm an honorary girl). we had chinese food and drank wine...ahhh good times:) we had the t.v. on and there was the movie, "burnt offerings". such a bad movie but it made us talk about "rosemary's baby", now THAT was a good movie. and mia farrow was just absolutely adorable and perfect for that part! her look was fresh and innocent. i tell ya, that haircut was all the talk. enjoy!

a fashion icon in the making, Lady Gaga
i have been keeping my eye on this girl for a while. lady gaga aka joanne stefani germanotta has been making a splash all over the place. her songs are infectious and people can't deny the catchy beats...her song, "just dance" went to #1. no offense miss grace jones, but lady gaga is a little miss jones in the making, at least with her jaw dropping style! she could even have a little madonna in her too! i am in love with her no holds barred approach to clothing and style! she is definitely one to watch. at the end of the day, her voice is amazing and that will carry you a long way when gravity has it's way with you!

well, i received in the mail yesterday an early valentine's day gift from my sweetheart bill! i had really wanted these converse lo-tops in metallic silver for christmas but santa did not come thru but cupid did!!! they are so hot and i LOVE them! i may have to wear them to my best friends fiance dj jazzy jesse's gig at Mad Donnas!!!! east nashville is a rockin' every saturday night with him spinning the records:) don't be jealous of my killer kicks!!!

fashion icon and muse...
i was perusing my usual gossip and fashion sites today and saw this photo of a stunning woman with lots of bangle bracelets (fyi bangles are in again) from the twenties. of course i had to google her and find out more of this woman's life. the woman in the photo was nancy cunard. she was a muse and lover to many of the most famous 20th century artist and writers, ernest hemingway, langston hughes and james joyce. she also was an accomplished writer and poet herself. this lady got around but was also doing good like being an early advocate of fighting racism and fascism. I found these photos and i just love them!!! you can tell just with these photos that this woman was definitely a spitfire! enjoy:)
